The step from Virtuemart 1.0 to VM 1.1 and now 1.2 was considerable from a design point of view. The new templating system now allows for much greater control over the way that Virtuemart looks and gives designers a more flexible approach to individual layouts - there is much less hard coded styling so it means there is much more opportunity for designers to show some flare. |

The login panel you can see in the top left hand corner of the demo is a sliding mnootools driven panel that is automatically published when you publish the login module to the user1 position. Joomla 1.0 users need to use the JB Login module while J1.5 users can achieve the slimline login effect by simply publishing the default Joomla module to the position. |

The updated version of the Simple Shop template now uses the built in Joomla 1.5 module system. Select flat list from the menu parameters and choose whether to expand the sub menu items and the module will display the menu in the same way that you see it on the demo site. |

The quickstart package is a complete Joomla installation that can only be used if you have not already installed joomla on your site; while the template option is for those who already have an existing site and wish to implement the template on that site. Here is an overview of the module positions available in this template. In most cases the styles are preset and there is no need to use a module class suffix to activate the design as seen in the demo. Simple Shop Version 2.0 includes the addition of two module positions to push the number available to 10 coded modules. The number of potential modules available in the template is actually 17 - given that you can have multiple modules in modt of the positions available in the template. |
