Minimoo2 is a completely rewritten version of our previous image slider - Mini Moo Gallery. Minimoo2 uses Jquery and a much smarter way to load images into the gallery which make creating a sliding image gallery almost effortless. Minimoo2 uses jQuery in no conflict mode so it should work with any other script. MiniMoo2 is available for download for all of our template club members.
JB Slideshow v3.1
The JB Slideshow3.1 sees this popular module take on significant upgrades to make it a versatile slideshow module that can take on many roles. . We have effectively rewritten the code and cut it in half making it a very slick, lightweight content fading, sliding, scrolling module for Joomla. We've added quite a few features to the slideshow and its flexible layout gives you greater and more intuitive control over placement of images, ticker and navigation elements.
The slideshow is very versatile and can operate as a simple ticker or as a full scale slideshow with images and navigation.
The source for the slideshow content is content items which need to be organised under a single category. This category will be selected in the module parameters.
Images for the slideshow can be loaded in two ways.
The prefferred method is to load it from the content item itself. Here the module will look for the first image it encounters in the Intro Text of the content item and it will use this as the image for that slide.
The second method to load your slideshow images is to specify a directory where the images reside. The images will need to be named after the content items.
Naming your images in the directory.
When you choose to load images from a directory rather from the content itself, JB Slideshow3.1 selects the images to display according to the name of the content item you want it to appear with.
So if the title of the content item is 'Iyengar and Hatha Yoga' the images that it looks for is "IyengarandHathaYoga.jpg" - notice how there are no spaces in the name of the image but the capitalisation is respected (Keeping the capitals as per your titles is important on most server setups).
You can also configure the module to look for image names in lowercase. The type of image it looks for can also be specified (.jpg | .png | .gif)
In addition to the text in the article, you can now choose to add and link the article title in the slideshow. A word count can be specified to limit the content the module uses and a Read More link can be added and named.
Navigation elements for the slideshow can be set to thumbnails, index or none. You can also choose to add and name navigational buttons to move through the slides.
In addition to clicking through the navigation, you can also trigger the slide changes by hovering over thumbnails.
Positioning of the Elements.
The slideshow is made up of three basic elements which include the slideshow image, the text and the navigation. Each of these are optional. The position and the dimensions of these elements are controlled in the module admin by using absolute positioning which means you have ultimate flexibility in creating your own layout for the content, image and navigation buttons.
The slideshow also incorporates some great looking and unique animations as a way of making your text and images fade and slide across the screen. The animations available include:
- Scroll Up
- Scroll Down
- Scroll Left
- Scroll Right
- Slide horizontally
- Slide Vertically
- Turn Up
- Turn Down
- Turn Left
- Turn Right
- Fade and Zoom
- Curtain Horizontally
- Curtain Vertically

Following are the settings required to replicate the ticker display of the modules as used in the Praise template.
Pretty Box Gallery
PrettyBox is an extremely flexible and effective module gallery for Joomla. It can display images from a folder you nominate in a module or in your content using the loadposition code for Joomla 1.5 or the mosloadposition for Joomla 1.0.
The Panel Menu is an accordion like menu effect that utilises the extended menu module and presnt your menu items in a sliding panel based menu. Its ideal for displaying a large number of links with a small footprint.
The setup for the accordion menu is pretty much the same as the superfish menu except for one key difference - instead of using the superfish/menu.html template the menu uses the accordion/menu.html template.
Themes for Praise
Praise comes with some innovative themes to help you to personalise your site. There are a total of 9 different textured backgrounds plus 6 different coloured peacocks that sit at the bottom of the main container. If you feel like removing the peacock image then thats easily done by selecting none for the peacock variation in the template administrator.
