This template is built using the Zen Grid Framework and contains a lot fo module positions. For a full understanding of how the module positions work in framework compatible templates please visit the Zen Grid Framework documentation.

This template is built on the Zen Grid Framework which makes changing, updating and editing the template incredibly easy. If you would like to learn more about the Zen Grid Framework take a look at the Zen Grid feature item on the Joomla Bamboo Site, or take a look through the Zen Grid framework knowledgebase.

For specific instructions on how best to implement the Newstream template please refer to the Newstream documentation on the Joomla Bamboo site. The Newstream documentation highlights a few small changes to the way that the template is implemented within the framework and it also highlights the module settings required for some of the modules you see here on the demo site so its recommended that you look over that article as well as the core Zen Grid Framework documentation.

The new stream template uses version 1.05 of the Zen Grid framework which includes a number of feature updates. The framework now uses Google fonts to render your logo, your headings, your body font, or your navigation font using any of the fonts available in the Google font directory. This is a cross browser former font replacement that is incredibly easy-to-use and adds dynamic styling ability to your website.

Zen Grid Framework Features

This template provides additional styles for K2 from JoomlaWorks. This very popular extension gives you additional means to control and create content. You are free to use Newstream without K2, but we have done the extra work to style K2 to fit the whole theme. Here is an excerpt about K2 and what it can do for you.

Ecolift comes with a selection of three module classes to apply to your content. The colours used in the module class are determined by the colour scheme and work within the hierachy of the overall colour scheme. In order to change the colour and images used you will need to edit the templates/ecolift/css/hilite/[your style].css file and change the images that relate to the module class you want to change in the images/[your colour scheme] folder.

This page gives you an overview of all of the typographical elements included with the template. You can apply these styles in your Joomla website easily if you use the content editor, and we recommend using JCE as the default editor.
